I'll probably say it three more times. See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda. (Applause.)
GW Bush at Athena Performing Arts Center, New York
Some people thought Bush spoke from the heart... they were wrong.
Some people thought Bush was a strong leader... they were wrong.
Every once in a while, Bush accidentally says what his puny little brain is thinking... In this case, everyone applauded. Why? Because he was at a fake townhall meeting. The audience was rigged to clap at the Propaganda President during his fake message.
This is why his handlers don't let George talk off script or meet real Americans. George cannot be trusted. Karl Rove used the expression "catapult the propaganda" and George screwed it up. This wasn't on the flash cards that Rove makes for Bush talking points.
When George gets cranky and doesn't feel like studying his flash cards, Karl sits down and lectures George. He says, "George... we can't win this war on terror. It's a fake war. The Iraq war is a real war... and the way we're screwing that up, we can't win that war either." The next day, Bush slips up and says we can't win the war on terror. Oops.
George asked Karl why, after 60 cities and countless fake town hall meetings he still has to keep repeating the same obnoxious lies about social security. Karl probably said, "George, you've got to keep repeating the propaganda. Repetition is the catalyst for getting it to sink in and making people believe it is the truth."
